I would really like to read your book. Judging by your blog, you have no problem neatly organizing information and clearly communicating your ideas.
I think that the art of writing is more like a talent, and just like a talent, it's you either have it, or you can work really-really hard to get to the level to which some people get without too much effort. There are plenty resources on how to improve one's writing and communication. However, what makes your idea unique is that you plan to show how to achieve the aesthetics of great presentation by harnessing the power of the Open Source tools. This fascinates me, and I am sure will be very useful for a lot of people.
Best of luck and patience to you!
